Blogging Buddies

So I started off last year strong . . .  I even had my list of things I wanted to try (I did get to some of them) in 2017, and had every intention of trying and sharing about every single one of them! But when school started back in August, I was in a new position and it all kind of fell by the wayside.

Now, it’s a new year once again and my goal is to start reflecting, writing, and sharing about my instructional and coaching practices. But I know me, and I need something (or someone) to keep me motivated and hold me accountable. Luckily, this past weekend I stumbled across an amazing post by a member of my PLN, and it was all about the ISTE EdTech Coaches Network’s  Blogging Buddies! I was immediately intrigued!

Blogging Buddies is a network of edtech coaches who enjoy blogging as a way of reflecting on and sharing their practice, as well as connecting with and supporting other edtech teaching professionals. Participants are grouped with 4 other edtech coach bloggers who commit to posting on their blog at least once a month, read and comment on one another’s blogs, and share the posts with their own PLNs.

I’m very excited to be blogging again and having a PLN that will help motivate me to keep at it! I’m also hoping to encourage my group members and grow with them as professional learners. For more information or to sign up for Blogging Buddies, visit bit.ly/etcbloggingbuddies.

  1. Me too! I think the accountability factor is important. There's something about knowing there's someone reading and responding that is encouraging. I'm excited to be a part of Blogging Buddies with you and look forward to joining you in this reflective journey.
