I’m so happy to announce that yesterday I found out that I am officially a Seesaw Ambassador! It is an honor to represent Seesaw in this way and be able to share my experiences to help Seesaw reach even more teachers and students! Being an Ambassador is also going to be a great way to connect with other educators and expand my professional learning network! I’ve already come across a number of teachers using Seesaw in innovative ways, and it inspires me to think of new ways to utilize the amazing potential of Seesaw to engage students and improve student learning!
Two other teachers at my district, our digital learning coach and a K4/K5 Montessori teacher, were also selected to be Seesaw Ambassadors, and we are gearing up to share some new things with our faculty later this month. My students and I love Seesaw–and the learning that is happening as they use it–so much that I can’t wait to share with our other teachers and students the many possibilities for home-school communication, showcasing and sharing student work, and increasing student engagement and collaboration. I look forward to sharing more with you, too.

My goal for the new year was to make our Seesaw class feed more interactive, where students and I comment on their work to give encouragement and constructive criticism. And while I have made Seesaw more interactive, the process went in a completely different direction than I had planned. Very soon I’ll be sharing some examples of how my students are utilizing more of Seesaw’s amazing features to help demonstrate their learning. ***And a quick update to my post 17 Things I Want to Try in 2017, I participated in my first Twitter chat last week. It was number 17 on my list. My first Twitter chat was a #Seesawchat (big surprise!). I was amazed at how fast paced it was. It was much harder to answer questions in 140 characters or less than I thought it would be! But it was so worth it. I learned some new things and connected with some new people. Can’t wait to do it again!***
